I work with social media & user generated content, but I'm no expert. As I come across useful tools and resources, I hope to share them on here for others who might find them useful.

This is an entirely personal site and all opinions are my own, and not that of my employer.

About me

Hello – I’m Caspar Aremi and I maintain Uneducated Guess.

I’ve set up this blog to keep track of my discoveries as I navigate the worlds of social media and user genereated content.

I’m the Community Manager for the NHS website, NHS Choices. I wouldn’t say I’m an expert in such matters but I’m learning as I go, which is why I thought it would be useful to share what I learn as I go.

On NHS Choices I’m part of a team who look after hospital & GP reviews and ratings, blogs and forums, expert panels, page comments and similar features on the site. I also maintain its Twitter and Facebook presences.

Personal projects include So So Gay, a new lifestyle & entertainment blog aimed at the LGBT (though mostly the ‘G’ part) community in London (though most of our content is relevant to those further afield too). What started as a personal site maintained by myself now has a staff of 9 and plans to launch events and old fashioned publications by the end of 2010. As well as maintaining content, I also maintain the Twitter and Facebook presences and the comments and forum posts on site too.

I am originally from north Scotland, but have lived in London since 2002. Apart from six terrifying months in Kensington, I’ve always lived in the east end. I currently live in a converted library building in Bow with cats, tropical fish and far too many books.
