London borough councils on Twitter
Diamond Geezer has a round-up of twittering London borough councils on his blog.
My own borough, Tower Hamlets, isn’t on Twitter yet, and given their recent atrocious website redesign I don’t think they’re too bothered about getting their message out there. It’s surprising for a council which covers such a diverse population, covering both some of the richest and poorest parts of London.
I know Tower Hamlets were recruiting for a new web content manager back in January. Just had a look at the new site – mmm can't say I'm that impressed as they've missed the opportunity to really take the site to the next level, start a dialog with people living & working in the borough and embrace social media. Maybe I should have applied for the job.
